What is Gluten-free?
A gluten-free diet is a meal regime or diet that excludes foods containing Gluten. Gluten is a protein found in wheat, barley, rye and triticale.
Some people exclude Gluten for allergy reasons, such as Coeliac disease or if they have a Gluten intolerance. Others decide to exclude it for health benefits, believing it may reduce bloating and help with digestion and weight loss.
What foods are Gluten-free?
There is a wide variety of food that does not contain Gluten. These include fruits, vegetables, meat and poultry, fish and seafood, dairy, beans, legumes, and nuts.
